Hiding away under a big umbrella
It is raining, hard. Most people have sought shelter a long time ago, but not them. Together they are hidden away under a big umbrella with a rainbow pattern. He is in his seventies, she is about seven. I can hear them laugh. “Grandpa, can I jump in that big puddle over there?” Immediately her grandfather hands her the umbrella, runs toward the puddle and starts to jump in it. The girl can’t contain her laughter, neither can I. I love that you are still this childlike, stranger.
